2024 marks the 15th edition of this meet (formerly the San Francisco State Distance Carnival). It has evolved into an ideal opportunity for distance runners to set fast times at a fantastic venue with ideal weather conditions and loaded fields. Athletes and teams from across the country have become part of this growing multi-day event since it began in 2008.

We are proud to announce that in 2019 the meet was renamed in honor of Mike Fanelli, 3 times USA National Team Coach, track & field historian, and member of the San Francisco State Hall of Fame. A true disciple of the sport, Mike is a well-known figure in the world of track & field. You can follow his daily feature on track and field history on his Facebook page.
